So i heard that smart parts was going out of buisness. What does that do for the few of us who still have and play with ions?? Any help on where i can buy cheap triggers regs boards grips ect... That would rock

Punisherspb.com would be your best bet for Smart Parts... parts. Smart Parts going out of business does not mean much to the typical end user. Aftermarket parts are still available NIB.

SO would it be worth it to drop a virtue board and new reg on my ion or buy my friends shocker nxt???

Its all opinion at this point, and I am always happy to give mine. = D

For a stock Ion I would reccomend neither a board nor a reg. I would reccomend a QEV, and then a decent trigger. You could buy both for under the price of either a board or a reg, and with a proper tune, you easily achieve comparable performace, if not better, than the shocker.

The clippard/virtue style QEV is recommend over the SP offering, triggers are more personal preference. Good luck and post pics of what you finally decide on.

If you do buy a new board eventually, don't make it a Virtue. They're not welcomed 'round these parts
